Insoles Made Precisely for Your Feet
Phits are custom 3D-printed orthotics, prescribed from a detailed analysis of the way you actually walk. No guesswork. No generic fit. Just insoles built around your feet.
Why Off-the-Shelf Insoles Fall Short
Pharmacy insoles are made to fit an average foot. They can offer some cushioning, but they are not designed around the specific way you load your feet when you walk or run — and that is where most problems originate.
Pain in the feet, ankles, knees, hips or lower back is often rooted in subtle biomechanical patterns that a generic insole simply cannot address. Without understanding what is actually happening when you move, any insole is little more than a guess.
Phits work differently. They start with data — a detailed scan of your gait using the Footscan pressure plate system — and are then manufactured to a precise prescription, specific to your feet and your movement pattern.
What Makes Phits Different
Phits are used by elite athletes and sports teams, but they're equally effective for anyone who needs relief from pain or wants to move better day to day.
Data-Driven Prescription
Your Phits are prescribed directly from Footscan gait analysis — dynamic pressure data captured as you walk, not a static foam impression or a questionnaire.
Precision 3D Printing
Each insole is manufactured by selective laser sintering — the same additive manufacturing process used in aerospace engineering — to tolerances of less than a millimetre.
Trusted at the Highest Level
Phits are used by Team GB, professional cycling teams, and elite runners. The same technology is available to our patients here in Paddock Wood.
How It Works
From your first appointment to wearing your custom insoles takes around one to two weeks.
Gait Analysis
You walk across our Footscan pressure plate. The system captures thousands of data points about the way you load your feet in motion.
Clinical Assessment
We review the scan data alongside a clinical examination of your posture, joint range of motion, and any symptoms you have.
Prescription and Report
We write your Phits prescription and produce a detailed report of your gait analysis for your records.
Fitting and Handover
Your finished Phits arrive within one to two weeks. We fit them and advise on a wear-in programme to get the most from them.
Who Phits Are For
Custom orthotics can help with a wide range of conditions and goals.
Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Pain
Offloading the plantar fascia and correcting the biomechanical drivers of heel pain is one of the most common and effective uses of custom orthotics.
Runners and Cyclists
Improve efficiency, reduce injury risk, and get more from your training with insoles optimised for the demands of your sport.
Knee, Hip and Lower Back Pain
Many lower limb and lumbar complaints have a biomechanical component. Orthotics can form part of an effective treatment plan.
Those on Their Feet All Day
Nurses, teachers, retail and hospitality workers — if your job demands long hours on your feet, the right orthotic support can make a significant difference.
Investment
One fee covers everything from assessment through to your finished insoles.

Common Questions
How long do Phits last?
With normal use, Phits typically last three to five years. Because they are 3D-printed from a durable nylon polymer rather than moulded foam, they do not compress or degrade in the way traditional orthotics do.
Will they fit in my shoes?
Phits are available in a range of profiles — from full-length everyday insoles to slim sport-specific designs — so they can be fitted into most footwear. We will discuss the right version for your shoes at your assessment.
Are they the same as generic pharmacy insoles?
No. Pharmacy insoles are mass-produced to a standard shape. Phits are manufactured individually to a clinical prescription, derived from your own gait data. The manufacturing process, the fit, and the clinical rationale behind them are entirely different.
How long until I notice a difference?
Most patients notice an improvement within a few weeks of consistent wear. We recommend a gradual wear-in period and will give you clear guidance on how to introduce them into your daily routine.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with us — no GP referral is needed. Simply book online or call us on 01892 837277.
